Popular Nigerian songstress Chidinma Ekile known professionally as Chidinma has quit secular music to start off as a gospel musician.

Born 2nd May 1991, Chidinma rose to stardom after clinching first place at the third season of Project Fame West Africa in 2010.

She quickly rose to the top with some top hits like “Emi Ni Baller” making her the first female musician to peak at number 1 on the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 chart.

She bagged quite a number of nominations for her songs across notable award schemes in Nigeria like Nigeria Entertainmemt Awards, Nigeria Music Video Awards, City People Entertainment, The Headies etc.

Her switch to gospel business was reported on twitter by popular Nigerian news and entertainment hub,

This was further confirmed after by after her profile on Wikipedia was changed to Gospel Musician from Afro Pop.
